We've moved!

In 2010 we join forces with Sydney’s 505 in the establishment of a new dedicated live music venue in the heart of Surry Hills. This exciting new venue will be a base for a number of small music organisations and we are thrilled to be amongst it all + there will be a piano!

So from the 19th January you can find
us at 505 – corner Perry and Cleveland Streets Surry Hills. Spread the word!

We send out a big heart felt thanks
to Mark and The Excelsior Hotel for all their support over the past years and
their dedication to live music in Sydney.
Our weekly series happens at Venue 505 cnr Cleveland and Perry Streets, Surry Hills.

Tom O'Halloran

Tom O’Halloran’s Green Hills and White Clouds is a vibrant set of original piano trio jazz which draws on non-jazz elements too. He concludes it with an exquisitely tender piano solo elaboration upon an old song. Otherwise, Tom and two longtime Perth friends - bassist Pete Jeavons and drummer Daniel Susnjar - have a fine, very conversational time with the leader’s compositions. It’s a feast of memorable melodies and nice grooves, with improvisatory spark and superb sound quality.

"Unlike many contemporary piano trios O’Halloran’s puts great emphasis on strong grooves with improvising intensity: an Oscar Peterson style for the 21st century. All but one of the tracks are originals, with Get Me To The Village perhaps the best up-tempo demonstration of O’Halloran’s masterful technique, driven by smart rhythmic insertions from Perth musicians Pete Jeavons, double bass, and Daniel Susnjar, drums."
