| New Year, New Gigs
The 2012 Summer Festival was a blast, with gigs for kids, hipsters, outdoors and indoors, workshops, and we gave away an amazing recording prize to the amazing Alcohotlicks.
Now we're settling in for the regular years programming, over the next few months you can catch Bernie McGann, Daryl Pratt, Brendan Clarke with Craig Scott, Mike Rivett and Mike Nock. Dive in!

Adam Ponting is a firm favourite amongst the jazz lovers that haunt this town. He rarely comes out to play, but when he does, Adam brings a stellar band together and goads them to play their arses off. An astonishing jazz vocabulary, an easy playfulness and wit, Adam’s a class act. He he.

Stylistically placed somewhere between mid-1960s Larry Young and Dr. Lonnie Smith is the Darren Heinrich Trio. Performing music from their award-winning CD "New Vintage Tunes for the Hammond Organ", and material by mentor Dr. Lonnie Smith, whom Darren studied with in 2009. Groovy!

We have been in existence since 2005. We have a very well received cd,"Odyssey". We will be playing selections from this cd as well as some soon to be recorded new compositions. Hard bop at its finest.

Visitors from Victoria, the music of the James Annesley Quartet is a unique style of contemporary jazz which draws influence from serene, earthy folk music as well as hard hitting rock. The open structures of the tunes allow for adventurous, freewheeling improvisations. This performance will celebrate the Sydney release of their latest CD.

The Vampires are back for Jazzgroove as part of their 'Chellowdene' National Tour. Featuring compositions by saxophonist Jeremy Rose (2009 Bell Award Winner for Young Australian Jazz Artist of the Year) and trumpeter Nick Garbett, their unique blend of soulful jazz, old-school reggae and South American music has been hailed as a fresh sound.
